Lazović: Šoškić is tormenting me and my family

Former senior police official Zoran Lazović said that prosecutor Miloš Šoškić deliberately and intentionally carried out certain actions „in order to pin another criminal offense of abuse of position on him“.

- Šoškić has created a platform to torment me and my family - Lazović said.

He made these remarks after the questioning of police officer Zdravko Mirović, who in 2020 was with his colleagues when they stopped Ljubo Milović near the Delta shopping center.

Mirović stated that a colleague told him they had found a handgun, and when he saw who got out of the car, he realized it was police officer Ljubo Milović.

He also said that one of the colleagues called police officer Darko Knežević to ask whether Milović was an employee in the police.

In response to a question from the defendant Lazović, Mirović said that he had never heard Zoran Lazović request that anyone not be prosecuted for a misdemeanor or a criminal offense.

Lazović said that he learned about the incident near Delta only when the police officers were questioned at the Prosecutor’s Office in 2024.

- None of the participants in the incident informed me about it. It is obvious that the prosecutor wanted to pin another criminal offense of abuse of position on me. He did not succeed due to the integrity of my colleagues and their truthful testimony - Lazović stated.

He concluded that Milović, while he was head of the Sector, did not work there either formally or informally.
